Our History and Values
We are Cole Lumber Company, Inc., a Kentucky-based, employee-owned lumber and building materials supplier with roots dating back to 1946. Originally founded as Cole Lumber and Supply Company, we became 100% employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 1988. Our employee ownership drives long-term commitment, accountability, and pride in everything we do.
We are headquartered in Scottsville, Kentucky, and serve western and central Kentucky as well as middle Tennessee through a growing network of locations, including Paducah, Princeton, Benton, Madisonville, Murray, Scottsville, Auburn, Bowling Green, Franklin, and Portland, Tennessee. Through strategic acquisitions and steady growth, we have continued to expand our reach while maintaining the local service our customers expect.
We offer a full range of building materials, including lumber, trusses, windows, cabinetry, roofing, siding, decking, doors, drywall, flooring, insulation, and related products. Our centralized purchasing, delivery, and distribution system allows us to maintain reliable inventory and provide consistent service across all locations.
We primarily serve professional contractors and builders, many of whom are long-standing, repeat customers. With recent expansion, we also support commercial and multi-family construction projects. We are committed to building strong relationships, providing dependable materials, and delivering the level of service that has defined Cole Lumber for generations.
